Yesterday, M. Holland finalized the acquisition of Birmingham, Michigan-based Polymer Z LLC, creating the foundation and formation of the M. Holland Automotive Group (MHA). This marks the second announced acquisition in 2015. Our entrance into Mexico with the formation of M. Holland Latinoamerica and our expansion into the automotive industry mark significant steps for the future of M. Holland.
The acquisition of Polymer Z will also provide the organization with a great deal of presence in the Detroit polymer distribution market and truly expands our portfolio of capabilities. Polymer Z has longstanding relationships with automotive OEMs and a strong applications development competence, both of which are necessary for success in the automotive market.
Industry veteran and Polymer Z founder John Zessin will serve as the Managing Director of MHA and his son Matt Zessin will serve as the Automotive Market Manager.
We will formally begin conducting business as MHA on January 1, 2016. As we enter the Automotive Market, we look forward to continuing our mission of being the Gold Standard in Plastics.
