President & CEO
As the President and CEO, Ed oversees the company’s long-term strategy and business planning, spearheads mergers and acquisitions, leads the Executive Leadership Team, and is the proud protector of the company’s culture. Under his leadership, M. Holland has grown from a small regional plastics distributor to one of the top four distributors in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Ed has spent his entire career at the company, beginning as a sales representative in 1976. He was promoted to sales manager and sourcing manager in 1980 and became vice president of sales and sourcing in 1984. In 1994, he was named president and CEO. Ed has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Illinois. He has been married to his wife, Ann Dee, for more than 40 years. They have three children and five grandchildren. He is active with several charitable organizations, enjoys spending time with his family, and playing golf.
Commercial Vice President
As Vice President of the Commercial team, Marc oversees the positioning of M. Holland to its clients, prospects, suppliers, and employees. He is on M. Holland’s Board of Directors and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Marc joined M. Holland in 1997 as a sales representative, was promoted to sales manager in 1999, and to director of sales in 2006. In 2010, he was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing before assuming his current position as the vice president of the commercial team in 2017. He began his career as a sales representative for Colors For Plastics in 1993. Marc has a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Indiana University. He lives in Northbrook, IL, with his wife, Ilene, and two children.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Pat is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, including accounting and financial reporting, treasury, risk management, and capital strategies. He is also responsible for human resources and talent management. Pat has more than 25 years of experience in financial leadership positions at manufacturing and distribution companies. Before joining M. Holland in 2005, Pat served as CFO at Holly Hunt, Stevens Communications, and Blistex Inc. He began his career in public accounting and has a CPA certificate. Pat has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Lewis University and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago. He is married with two children and is an active member of his local community.
Vice President, Corporate Development
As Vice President of Corporate Development, Dwight is responsible for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, and marketing processes. He also oversees M. Holland’s international operations. He joined M. Holland in February 2015 and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Dwight began his career in plastics with M.A. Hanna Co., a predecessor to PolyOne Corp., where he held a succession of corporate development and general management roles. In 1998, he formed Accel Color Corp. When Accel Color was sold to Techmer PM in 2008, Dwight continued to run the company. In 2013, he joined The Composites Group (TCG) as vice president of sales and marketing where he participated in integrating three business units and prepared the business for its eventual merger with Citadel Plastics in 2014. Dwight has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Kent State University and a law degree from the University of Akron School of Law. He is also an award-winning author. Dwight and his wife, Carol, have two children.
Director, Global Sales
As Director of Global Sales, Stephen leads M. Holland’s domestic resale division and international businesses. Before joining M. Holland in 2010, Stephen served as president at United Polychem and vice president at Sport Court. Stephen began his career in a variety of sales representative and sales manager roles at companies such as Muehlstein, Equistar Chemicals LP, and Huntsman. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University-Hayward. Stephen and his wife, Leslie, have been married for almost 20 years and have two sons. He is a former Marine and is active with several veterans’ charities. Stephen enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
Director, Human Resources
As the Director of Human Resources, Patty oversees talent management, recruiting, employee relations, and total rewards. Prior to joining M. Holland in 2016, Patty served as a director of human resources at Baxter International and United Conveyor Corporation. Her early career included roles at Information Resources and Fujisawa USA before joining Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America where she held multiple leadership roles in human resources. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Patty has two daughters and is active in charitable organizations such as Taproot, PAWS Chicago, and One Brick.
Director, Client Experience
As the Director of Client Experience, Tara leads the client experience team, including account and order management. She joined M. Holland as a customer service manager in 2014 before being promoted to director of client experience in 2017. Prior to joining M. Holland, Tara served as a customer service manager at Solo Cup Company and at North American Corporation of Illinois. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from Western Illinois University. Tara and her husband, Steve, have been married for 25 years and have one daughter. They enjoy boating and traveling together as often as possible.
Director, Global Sourcing
As the Director of Global Sourcing, Dave is responsible for the development and execution of strategic supply to enable sales growth and meet margin objectives. He also oversees a handful of M. Holland’s product managers, ensuring performance unit growth, margin performance, and working capital. Dave joined M. Holland in 2015. Prior, he served as vice president at Osterman & Co., director of supply at Commerx, and as group manager of the basic resins group, general polymers division at Ashland Chemical. He has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. Dave has been married to his wife, Pam, for more than 35 years. Together they have three sons. Dave enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.
Director of Credit
As the Director of Credit, Susan is responsible for all functions of M. Holland’s credit department, including the management of credit and collections functions, setting credit limits, and managing accounts receivable for M. Holland’s customer base. She joined M. Holland in April 2016 as a senior credit analyst and stepped into her current position in January 2017. Prior to joining M. Holland, Susan held multiple corporate credit manager roles at HEICO Companies, Field Container, and Eby-Brown. She has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bradley University and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago. In her spare time, Susan enjoys rehabbing and flipping houses, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and reading.
Director, Information Technology
As the Director of Information Technology and acting Chief Information Officer, Neil is responsible for information technology strategies, digital organizational change, and driving company software, mobility, and applications development to bring new value and technological perspective. Neil joined M. Holland as an information technology manager in 2013 and was promoted to his current position in 2015. Prior to joining M. Holland, Neil held a variety of project management, business analyst, software development, and information technology positions at Holly Hunt, Ltd. Neil has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Business Administration in Operations Management from the UIC Liautaud Graduate School of Business. Neil and his wife have been married 10 years and have two children. He is actively involved with the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Business Scholars program, acting as a mentor to a cohort of high-performing students. Neil enjoys spending time with his family and playing games of all kinds.
Director, Corporate Development & Marketing
As the Director of Corporate Development and Marketing, Lisa is responsible for various internal and market-facing initiatives targeted at creating enhanced customer experiences, scalable commercial operations, and strategic market acquisitions. Prior to joining M. Holland in 2016, Lisa served as a principal at Roslyn Circle Marketing, LLC, the vice president of corporate marketing and branding at Aon, and the vice president of corporate marketing at Lawson Products. She began her career at Abel, Daft, Early and Ward as a market analyst before joining Loral Skynet as the director of marketing. Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Michigan and a Master of Arts in International Affairs and East Asian Studies from The George Washington University. Lisa and her husband have three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, and cycling– especially when done in tandem.
As Director General for M. Holland Latinoamérica, Xavier leads the company’s efforts to be a premier, customer-focused, world-class polymers distribution organization for Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain. Xavier joined M. Holland in 2015 after M. Holland partnered with Grupo Solquim of Mexico City to form M. Holland Latinoamérica. Xavier, a long-time executive at Grupo Solquim, first joined the company in 1988. In addition to his work with M. Holland Latinoamérica and Grupo Solquim, Xavier also served as president and co-founder of XCAN/DBIntel, an IT consulting think tank, for over 20 years. He has a Bachelor of Systems and Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona and ITESM in Mexico City, and a post-graduate education in Executive Management from IPADE Business School. He is a father of three with a passion for golf.
Director, Distribution Sales
As the Director of Distribution Sales, Samantha is responsible for growing M. Holland’s sales throughout the U.S. and Canada for the company’s Distribution Division by directing and managing commercial resources. She is also responsible for setting the strategy and direction for the company’s field sales force. Samantha joined M. Holland in 2009 as an account manager in the Ohio region. In 2016, she was promoted to product manager of engineered thermoplastics and relocated to M. Holland’s Northbrook, IL headquarters. She was promoted to her current role in 2018. Samantha has over 25 years of experience serving in various industry roles, including product design, R&D, quality, global marketing and sales management, and other leadership positions at a global plastics company. She has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a concentration in Polymer Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Akron. Samantha enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and being outdoors.
Director, Distribution Sourcing
As the Director of Distribution Sourcing, Rick is responsible for the global sourcing of engineering thermoplastics and branded polypropylene resins from M. Holland’s strategic suppliers. Prior to joining M. Holland in 2014, Rick served as the vice president of sourcing and the vice president of sales at Premier Polymers, LLC, and as a sales manager and director at Ashland Distribution (now Nexeo Solutions, LLC). He began his career as a marketing representative with CP Rail before serving in a number of logistics, plant operation, sales, and marketing management roles at Nova Chemicals in the U.S. and Canada. He has a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from the University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from York University in Toronto. Rick and his wife, Sandi, have been married for 35 years and have two adult daughters. They live in Glenview, IL, close to M. Holland’s corporate headquarters.
Director, Supply Chain
As the Director of Supply Chain, Roland leads M. Holland’s supply chain planning and execution functions with a focus on operational excellence, internal collaboration, external partnerships, and cost effectiveness. Prior to joining M. Holland in 2013, Roland served as the director of manufacturing and distribution at West Monroe Partners and as the vice president of information technology planning and integration at Liquidity Services, Inc. He began his career as a manager of total quality and training at International Paper before serving in a variety of senior manager and director roles at Anderson Business Consulting, ICG Commerce, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Roland has a Bachelor of Science in Business Operations Management from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Roland and his family of six live in the western suburbs of Chicago. He has been active in faith, charitable, and youth sports organizations over the years and enjoys outdoor activities including bicycling, hiking, and playing handball. He’s also an automotive enthusiast and music aficionado.
Director of Finance and Controller
As the Director of Finance and Controller, Jon oversees the global accounting, finance, treasury, and risk management areas of M. Holland’s business, including a team of almost 20 employees. He is integral to M. Holland’s acquisitions process, helping oversee a range of activities from due diligence to successful integration. Prior to joining M. Holland in 2011, Jon served as managing partner at SolomonEdwardsGroup, and chief financial officer at Terra Nova Financial. He has also held multiple senior and executive leadership roles at Gibson/VMG Consulting, VMG Private Equity, Globe Union and Gerber Plumbing Fixtures, LLC, RSM McGladrey, and ServiceLand, Inc. He is a C.P.A. and began his career in public accounting. Jon has a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Science and Pre-Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jon and his wife, Sigita, have six adult children. They enjoy traveling, sports, home improvement projects, golfing, boating, skiing, swimming, and motorcycling.
Director of Business Development
As the Director of Business Development, John oversees M. Holland’s Business Development Group, which is comprised of six invest and grow verticals, including automotive, healthcare, film and flexible packaging, color and compounding, rotational molding, and wire and cable. John joined M. Holland in 2015 through M. Holland’s acquisition of his company, Polymer Z. Prior to M. Holland and Polymer Z, John served as the global vice president of sales and marketing at Dow Automotive, director of automotive sales at Bayer MaterialScience, and director of automotive marketing for Monsanto. John has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Economics from Albion College. He and his wife Susan have four children, who all enjoy outdoor sports, architecture, art, and music.
