President / CEO

Ed has spent his entire career at the company. He now oversees the company’s long-term strategy, development and execution of business plans, and is the proud protector of the company’s culture. He began as a Sales Rep in 1976, was promoted to Sales Manager & Sourcing Manager in 1980, and became VP, Sales & Sourcing in 1984. In 1994, he was named President/CEO. He leads the Executive Leadership Team. Ed earned his B.A. in Finance from the University of Illinois, with a minor in Chemistry and Biology. He has been married to his wife, Ann Dee, for 39 years, and they have three children and four grandchildren. He is active with several charitable organizations and enjoys golf and tennis.

Vice President, Administration

Barry coordinates the development and implementation of the company’s growth strategies. He is a member and facilitator of the Executive Leadership Team and he coordinates many of the company’s personnel and leadership development initiatives. He is also a member of the Advisory Board. Barry joined us in 2010 from Blackman Kallick, Chicago, where he was Managing Director of the Strategic Services Group and Family Business Center. His previous positions included VP, Chief Administrative Officer and Board Member of Navigant Consulting, Chicago, and Partner at Sachnoff & Weaver (now Reed Smith), where he also was a Board Member and Chairman of its Business Group and Family Business Center. Barry is a licensed member of the Illinois Bar; he received a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University and a JD law degree from Northwestern University School of Law. Barry co-founded the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Family Business Council and has been a frequent speaker at the Family Firm Institute and Loyola University of Chicago Family Business Center. He lives in Deerfield, IL, with his wife, Jan. He has two daughters and four grandchildren. Barry enjoys travel, biking and kayaking.

Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Marc oversees the positioning of M. Holland to its clients, prospects, suppliers and employees and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. He began here in 1997 as a Sales Representative, was promoted to Sales Manager in 1999, and then to Director of Sales before being named to his current position in 2010. He began his career as a Sales Representative for Colors For Plastics in 1993. Marc is a graduate of Indiana University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance. He lives in Northbrook, IL, with his wife, Ilene, and two children.

Chief Financial Officer

Since 2005, Pat has been responsible for the overall financial management of the company, including accounting and financial reporting, treasury, risk management and capital strategies. He is a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team, Advisory Board, M&A team and a sponsor of Epicor9, the company’s continuous business process improvement initiative. Before joining us, Pat was CFO of Holly Hunt, Ltd. and Stevens Communications. Prior to these CFO positions, he was VP, Finance at Blistex Inc. Pat is a CPA and has a B.A. in Accounting from Lewis University and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago. Pat is an active member of his local community and charitable organizations. He lives with his wife, Julie, and two children in Oak Park, IL. Reading, sports and travel are his hobbies.

Vice President, Operations

Pete oversees the transportation, warehousing, customer service and information technology departments of the company. He is the Project Sponsor of the Epicor9 ERP system and process implementation, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. He joined us in 2008 as a Product Manager from Ashland Distribution. He also worked at Performance Polymers. Pete received his Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Technology from the College of DuPage. He, his wife, Martine, and son live in Harvard, IL. Pete enjoys biking and music.

Vice President, Sourcing

Mike joined M. Holland in 2012 and is responsible for the sourcing of materials distributed by the company through the management of the product managers. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, his role also includes strategic decisions for the group. Prior to joining M. Holland, Mike was the Director of Sales at Styrolution (previously INEOS Styrenics and BASF) for seven years and the Director of Sourcing and Director of Sales at Ashland Distribution for 20 years. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Administration from Wichita State University. He lives in Plainfield, IL, with his wife, Diane, and has two children and two grandchildren. Mike enjoys golf, walking and travel.

Vice President, Corporate Development

Dwight joined M. Holland in February 2015.  He is a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for the its strategic planning, M&A and business development processes.

 Dwight began his career in plastics with M.A. Hanna Co., a predecessor to PolyOne Corp, where he held a succession of corporate development and general management roles. In 1998, he formed Accel Color Corp. a producer of custom-formulated color and additive systems that grew to four facilities and $20 million in annual revenue. When Accel Color was sold to Techmer PM in 2008, Dwight continued to run the company. In 2013, he joined The Composites Group (TCG), a leader in thermoset composite compounding and manufacturing, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  At TCG, he participated in integrating three business units and preparing the business for its eventual merger into Citadel Plastics in November 2014.

 Dwight holds a BA from Kent State University’s School of Journalism, and a law degree from the University of Akron School of Law.  He is also an award-winning author.  Dwight and his wife, Carol, have two children.
