Freedman will oversee the company’s 3D printing market strategy and lead the continued expansion of its materials product portfolio and consulting practice.

Northbrook, Ill., July 10, 2019 — M. Holland Company, a leading distributor of thermoplastic resins, announced today that Haleyanne Freedman has been promoted to Market Manager, 3D Printing. In this role, Freedman will be responsible for overseeing the company’s 3D Printing team, developing market strategy, expanding its 3D printing materials portfolio, and providing guidance on adoption and equipment selection to industrial manufacturing clients. She is also an integral member of the company’s additive manufacturing council.

“Freedman has a wealth of technical and applications-based expertise and has been influential in helping bring M. Holland to the forefront of 3D printing within the plastics industry,” said Dwight Morgan, Executive Vice President of Business Development at M. Holland. “We’re excited to see what she continues to accomplish in her expanded role.”

Since joining the M. Holland team in 2018, Freedman has helped build M. Holland’s 3D printing materials line card with products from suppliers such as Owens Corning, BASF, and 3DXTECH and has assisted in the establishment of a development and production lab at the company’s headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois. Additionally, she has been instrumental in growing M. Holland’s 3D printing consulting practice that advises clients on equipment and product selections, process optimization and adoption, and material and application validations.

Freedman got her start in industrial manufacturing working for a machine tool importer managing its 3D printing department. She is well-versed in multiple CAD programs and received a certification in Additive Manufacturing Polymers and Metals from MIT. A self-confessed “3D printing nerd,” her passion extends to her home life, where she owns seven personal 3D printers. Freedman also is active in the Northeast Ohio Manufacturing Cluster and serves as Vice-Chair for Women in Manufacturing and Co-Chair for the Great Lakes Chapter of Women in 3D Printing.

M. Holland signed its first 3D printing product distribution agreement with Owens Corning in May 2018 to sell the company’s XSTRANDTM line of products. Subsequent agreements with 3DXTECH and BASF were then announced in October and November 2018, respectively, in an effort to provide M. Holland’s industrial manufacturing clients with access to an expanded team of commercial and technical support resources and materials, including carbon fiber, electrostatic discharge-safe, and fire-retardant materials. M. Holland has also invested in new 3D printing capabilities at its research and development center in Easton, Pennsylvania, as well as a dedicated 3D printing lab at its headquarters in Northbrook, Illinois.
